Cnario Demonstrates New Digital Signage on Industry Standard Platform at NRF
Cnario bases new digital signage on Intel® Core™ i7 Processor and Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2011
Tel Aviv, Israel – January 11, 2009. Cnario, a global provider of digital signage software solutions, today announced its support for the Intel® Core™ i7 Processor and the Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2011 platform, by basing a new digital signage solution on these innovative processor and platform. Cnario demonstrates its support at Intel’s booth (# 1361) at the 2010 National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 99th Annual Convention and Expo held in New York, January 11-12, 2010.
Cnario’s player will run on Intel® Core™ i7 Processor, announced today at NRF. This is Intel's first 32 nanometer processor, that integrates the graphics right into the processor's package. This next-generation platform powering high-end, high-performance systems, is validated with the Windows 7-based Windows Embedded Standard 2011. Windows Embedded Standard 2011 provides original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in retail, hospitality and other markets with Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Touch and other Microsoft technologies to deliver immersive user experiences and extend existing investments in technology management and infrastructure to specialized devices.
Cnario showcases the company’s platform supporting the Intel® Core™ i7 processor, demonstrating a high impact video wall based on Cnario Messenger, which enables the display of 12 high definition channels (each having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, for a total of ~24K resolution video) using a single PC. Using Intel Core i7 processors, Cnario dramatically decreased the number of computers required to drive a video wall, thereby providing energy and cost savings to customers. In addition, the multiple output digital signage player, can drive multiple discrete digital signage channels each including full high-definition video and additional layers. The video wall comprises 12 thin bezel full HD Samsung screens.
Cnario's digital signage platform supports multiple displays and projectors, treating any number of screens as one “canvas”, while maintaining pixel-perfect accuracy and complete synchronization between screens. When the number of required displays exceeds the number of displays a single computer can drive, multiple computers can be cascaded to create any size canvas.
“Our exhibit features the latest innovations from Cnario to help our customers meet increasing demands for performance, while maintaining Total Cost of Ownership (TCO),” said Yael Elstein, Vice President Marketing of Cnario. “The combination of Cnario platform with Intel and Microsoft products delivers exceptional performance and further positions Cnario as a leader in utilizing the latest technologies.”
“Cnario has successfully utilized the power of our Intel® Core Processors to deliver energy and cost effective large format video walls that have been deployed at major airports, stock exchanges and retail venues,” said Jose Avalos, digital signage director at Intel’s Embedded and Communication Group. “Now they are looking to deploy our next generation digital signage platform based on the Intel® Core Processor and validated with Microsoft’s Windows Embedded Standard 2011 operating system to deliver their digital signage solutions.”
