Using interactive digital signage elements, YCD Multimedia transforms Peugeots Tel-Aviv Store

Peugeot is a precision manufacturing company founded in France in 1810.  In 1891, Peugeot produced its first automobile and has continued to do so since then. It is a three time winner of the European Car of the Year Award and a known participant in endurance and rally racing.  Peugeot vehicles are well known for their compact shape and their innovative design.

When Peugeot decided to announce the release of the newly upgraded 107 model, they wanted to do something that highlighted the 107 in a unique way.  To do this they created a store in the Tel-Aviv mall and parked four of the small 107s in a minimalist store design to draw attention to the vehicles but something was still missing.  In addition to the innovative store design Peugeot wanted to wow their customers a little bit more by providing them with a fun interactive shopping experience.

Based on YCD Multimedia’s past work, Peugeot contacted them and asked them to collaborate in order to come up with a solution that would reinforce brand message, unify the entire customer experience while in the store and give the whole environment a dynamic and cutting-edge look and feel.

To meet this need, YCD Multimedia designed and installed an eight screen video wall along the wall next to the cars and two vertical displays where installed in the front window.  On the front window displays the screen registered how many Peugeot 107s had been sold to date, and was updated in real time through the use of YCD’s Cnario Digital Signage Suite. The attention grabbing counter really helped to attract the attention of curious shoppers.

In order to increase the interactive elements of Peugeot’s Tel-Aviv location additional vertical, ELO touch screens were also installed next to each car on display.  Each of the ELO touchscreens utilized a specially designed interface run by YCD's Cnario Digital Signage Suite.  This interface had an interactive app that would provide more information about each car on display including technical data. It also allowed visitors to design the car of their choice by changing the color, and adding or subtracting additional options.

All of the video and audio content designed in collaboration with YCD’s creative team was seamlessly synchronized across the entire system which created a cohesive and highly-effective customer experience that attracts, entertains and informs.  Peugeot saw immediate benefits following the install as they surpassed their projected sales numbers, and were easily able to leverage the digital signage  in other cross-marketing applications like social media and public relations.
